चांदा प्रदर्शनीत होतेय गर्दी

चंद्रपूर : स्कॉटलंडची राजधानी एडिनबर्ग (scotland capital Edinburgh) येथील संग्रहालयात अनेक वर्षापासून एक पेटी पडलेली होती. ही पेटी नुकतीच उघडली गेली. अन् स्कॉटलंडपासून लाखो किलोमीटर अंतरावर असलेल्या एका आदिवासी भागातील इतिहास उजेडात आला. हा इतिहास जतन करण्यासाठी स्कॉटलंड सरकारने एक दालन खुले केले. त्याचे नाव चांदा प्रदर्शनी.

विभाजनापूर्वी चंद्रपूर-गडचिरोलीचा इतिहास बघण्यासाठी स्कॉटलंडच्या संग्रहालयात सध्या गर्दी होत आहे. कारण, याठिकाणी आदिवासी समुदायाने विकसित केलेल्या कलाकृती बघायला मिळत आहेत. (Christmas Special)

सन 1870 मध्ये स्कॉटलंड येथून स्कॉटीस मिशनरी भारतात आली.  ख्रिस्ती धर्माचा प्रचार, प्रसार करण्यासाठी विभाजनपूर्व चंद्रपूर जिल्ह्यातील आदिवासी बहुल भागात धर्म प्रचाराचे कार्य ते करीत होते. (Christmas Special) घनदाट गडचिरोलीच्या जंगलातून मार्ग काढीत स्कॉटीश मिशनरी आदिवासींच्या गावागावांमध्ये पोहोचले. धर्म प्रचारांसोबतच त्यांनी या भागात सामाजिक कार्य ही केले. या दरम्यान, त्यांनी आदिवासी संस्कृती जवळून बघितली. भेटस्वरुपात मिळालेला ठेवा ते सोबत घेऊन गेले आणि हे साहित्य प्रदर्शनात ठेवण्यात आले आहे.

बिसेक दाम्‍पत्‍याला आदिवासी बांधवांनी दिल्‍या होत्‍या भेट वस्तू

1920-30 च्या दरम्यान चंद्रपूर शहरात चर्च बांधण्यात आले. या चर्चचे नाव आहे संत अंद्रिया देवालय. या चर्चला नीमिया गोरे, इजरायल जेकब, मकेझी, एडीबर्ग यासारखे धर्मगुरू लाभले. धर्म प्रचारासाठी आलेले जॉन बिसेक आणि त्यांचा पत्नी जेनेक बिसेक या चंद्रपूर- गडचिरोली जिल्ह्यात धर्म प्रचार करीत असताना त्यांना आदिवासी बांधवांनी काही भेट वस्तू दिल्या होत्या. या भेटवस्तू त्यांनी आपल्या सोबत स्कॉटलॅन्डला नेल्या. या वस्तू एका पेटीत ठेवल्या होत्या.

… चंद्रपूरचा इतिहास आला पुढे

बिसेक यांच्या मृत्यूनंतर ही पेटी एडीनबर्गचा संग्रहालयात ठेवली गेली. अनेक वर्ष ही पेटी पडून होती. (Christmas Special) संग्रहालयाच्या कर्मचारी रोजना निकोलस यांनी कुतूहलापोटी ही पेटी उघडली. चंद्रपूरचा इतिहास पुढे आला. कारण त्यात बांबूच्या वस्तू, खेळणी, सुती कापडापासून तयार केलेल्या वस्तू सापडल्या. चांदा प्रदर्शनी नावाने या वस्तू संग्रहालयात दान केल्या गेल्या. दालनात या वस्तू ठेवल्या गेल्या आहेत. चंद्रपुर जिल्ह्यातील पहिली चर्च शहरातील गांधी चौक जटपुरा गेट मार्गावरील संत अंद्रिय देवालय हे आहे. याची स्थापना 1903 मध्ये झाली. या चर्चला 119 वर्ष पूर्ण झाले आहेत. ख्रिसमसच्या दिवशी ख्रिस्ती बांधव एकत्र येत या चर्चमध्ये अनेक कार्यक्रम सादर करतात. A box was lying in the museum in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, for many years.  This box has just been opened.  And the history of a tribal area thousands of kilometers away from Scotland came to light.  The Scottish Government opened a gallery to preserve this history.  Its name is Chanda Exhibition.

 Museum of Scotland is currently thronging to see the history of Chandrapur-Gadchiroli before partition.  Because, here you can see the artworks developed by the tribal community.  (Christmas Special)

 In 1870, Scottish missionaries came to India from Scotland.  Before partition, he was doing the work of religious preaching in the tribal areas of Chandrapur district to spread Christianity.  (Christmas Special) Scotch missionaries reached the villages of the tribals by making their way through the dense forests of Gadchiroli.  Along with religious preaching, he also did social work in this area.  During this time, he got a close look at the tribal culture.  They took the gift with them and this material is on display.

 During 1920-30, a church was built in Chandrapur town.  The name of this church is Sant Andrea Devalaya.  This church got pastors like Neemia Gore, Israel Jacob, Makezi, Edberg.  John Bisek and his wife Janek Bisek, who came for preaching, were given some gifts by tribal brothers while they were preaching in Chandrapur-Gadchiroli district.  He took these gifts with him to Scotland.  These items were kept in a box.

 After Bisek's death, the box was kept in the Edinburgh Museum.  The box was lying for many years.  (Christmas Special) Museum employee Rosena Nicholas opened the box out of curiosity.  The history of Chandrapur came forward.  Because bamboo items, toys, items made of cotton cloth were found in it.  These items were donated to the museum in the name of Chanda Exhibition.  These items are kept in the hall.  The first church in Chandrapur district is Sant Andriya Devalaya on Gandhi Chowk Jatpura Gate Road in the city.  It was established in 1903.  This church has completed 119 years.  On Christmas day, Christian brothers come together and perform many programs in this church.  (Christmas Special)
